JEWELRY TLC

Customers often tell me that they live in their jewelry, however, I do recommend some basic TLC to ensure you can enjoy your jewelry for years to come.

Care Instructions

Labyrinth chains, wire, clasps, jump rings and ear wires are all gold filled. Gold fill is made when a layer of gold is mechanically bonded to a core of base metal, typically brass. Labyrinth gold filled products are nickel free, and never plated. Gold filled items can be gently washed using a soft toothbrush dipped in warm water with a few drops of mild soap.

Hand cut, forged and hammered pieces are made from brass. Brass will take on a natural patina over time that can be restored using a sunshine polishing cloth.

The delicate nature of Labyrinth earrings and rings are best cared for by keeping bending to a minimum. Repetitive adjustments can affect the integrity of the metal and cause pieces to break.

Remove your jewelry before showering, dipping into pools or hot tubs, exercising heavily or applying any moisturizers or fragrances. And never put your pearls in ultrasonic cleaners or any type of acid.

With loving care, pearls can last generations and be passed down as heirloom pieces. Be mindful to not scratch your pearls and avoid contact with perfumes, cosmetics or hairspray. After wearing, wipe gently with a damp cloth to maintain luster.
